With our app you can display Jira field description as tooltips to save space in your screens and to make them more user-friendly. There are no additional configurations necessary!
To display tooltips you only fill out the Jira field description. Optionally use field configuration schemes to display different tooltips depending on the issue context. The standard Jira field description will automatically be hidden and displayed as tooltip as you can see in the screenshots below.

With STAGIL Tooltips
Description is stored in tooltip icon.

When you are in the view screen of your issues, you can hover over field names to display your tooltips.
Tooltips in Jira Service Management
Since version 1.0.9, you can show tooltips in JSM requests as well.
This requires additional configuration. Go to JSM Project settings → Request types → Visible fields. Enter the tooltip text to the Field help bar.
After the steps above are completed, users can see configured helptext on request forms in the JSM portal.
