Create a Create and Link Button

To create Create And Link Buttons, please navigate to the app administration. There you will find the following configuration menu:

Fill in the form to define, in which projects you want to use the Create and Link buttons. Give your button Navigate to the app administration page. Select the Create and Link tab to access the following page. Here you can get an overview of all the Create & Link Buttons across all projects. You can also create a new button from here. Fill in the fields to define the project and issue type context of your button. Give it a name and an optional description, then click Add. Your button will now appear in the list and can be used in the defined context to create linked issues with templates.

To edit the creation masktemplate, which will open when users click on your new newly created button, please click on “Configure Fields”. The following configuration screen will open:

Create and Link Mode

Here you can select, if users should create multiple issues in the same screen or one issue at a time. If single issue creation is enabled, the creation screen will close after issue creation. If multi issue creation is enabled, the screen will show already created issues on top of the screen and users can continue to create more issues of the same type.

Copy option

copy Copy from original: data will be copied from the current issue

defaultDefault: data will be added according to set filled in from a default value (has to be defined below set further on the left in “Values”)

If “default” is selectedCopy Option is set to “Default”, default values have to be defined here.

Add new fields

The Scroll through the “Please Select” field can be used to add more fields to the creation mask. Logic from above applies here as wellchoose more Field types for your button.
