The STAGIL Incoming Links Macro lists all incoming links to a page on that same page. It includes Space settings, Label search, Sort feature, Link prefixes and HTML tags.

Install STAGIL Incoming Links for Confluence

To install STAGIL Incoming Links take these steps:

  1. Log in as a user with the Confluence Administrators global permission.
  2. Click the admin drop-down and choose Add-Ons.
  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page and enter STAGIL Incoming Links into the search field.
  4. Click Try free to begin a new trial that expires after 30 days or Buy now to purchase a license for STAGIL Incoming Links. You're prompted to log into my.Atlassian. Notification Assistant begins to download.
  5. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to my.Atlassian.
  6. Click Apply license.
    If you're using an older version of Atlassian's Universal Plugin Manager (UPM), you can copy and paste the license into your Confluence instance.
  7. The STAGIL Incoming Links for Confluence add-on is now displayed under Manage Add-Ons.

How to employ STAGIL Incoming Links for Confluence

The "STAGIL Incoming Links" functionality is based on a new installed Macro.

Go to the page where you want to apply the functionality.

To add this new macro, click on "Insert more content" and then on "Other macros" or use the shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+A".

A new window opens which allows you to choose, which macro you want to add to your page.

To find the new Macro, write "STAGIL" in the search bar (on top) and you will see the macro "STAGIL Incoming Links", as shown in the following image.

After choosing the Macro, it shows what it would be displayed and which settings you have.

Click on "Insert" to add it to the page.

After you saved the page, all incoming links will be displayed on the page.

Of course it is possible to adjust the settings again afterwards. Just click on the macro (in the "Edit" mode of the page). This allows you to select between two options "Edit" and "Remove".

Possible settings

With the setting "Space" you can choose from which Spaces you want to display the incoming Links. This is just a limit. If nothing is entered in this setting, it shows the spaces from all the incoming links to this page.

"Labals" is a limitation for the page labels. It lists only pages with one of the labels you entered into the screen.

"Show Space Prefix" shows space prefixes in the link.

You also have the option "Show Excerpt". This will show page excerpts after the links.

With "Style" you can work on the design of the display. Bullet points, numbers and all of the other headline options are available. Simply change the style and display how it looks by clicking on "Preview".

In "Sort by" you can set the criteria of the sorting. It is possible to choose between alphabetical, the date of creation, or by the last modification.

Adding macro to page view

  1. Open the page in the editor.

  2. Click "Insert more content" on the editor toolbar, then choose "Other macros."

  3. Pick the 'Incoming Links' macro from the list.

  4. Click "Insert" unless macro configuration is necessary.

Once the macro is added to a page, it will automatically generate a list of links to other pages that reference the current page.
