For the following steps you need to install the STAGIL Atlassian Cloud Browser Extension. We plan to add additional browser compatibility soon.

General

After installing the chrome browser extension you can create a fully customizable top navigation for your Jira (as you might be used from the server/datacenter version of our app). Without the browser extension you can still configure custom navigation entries, but they will be displayed not in the top navigation, but under the “Apps” entry in the standard Jira Cloud top navigation.

Top navigation menu entries consists of a display name, a menu type, an optional icon and a defined list of users who can see the entry:

Create Top Navigation Entries

Navigate to the app administration → STAGIL Navigation → Top Navigation. Now define display name, menu type (web link, sub navigation or panel sub navigation), an optional icon and (if necessary) the user blacklist/whitelist. Users on the blacklist won’t see the entry, users on the whitelist will see it.

Delete and Reorder Menu Entries

All custom menu entries can be deleted by clicking the delete button. System menu entries can not be deleted.

All menu entries can be reordered via drag-and-drop, system menu entries included. The first entry in the list will be displayed as first left entry in the top navigation.

Edit Top Navigation System Menu Entries

System menu entries can’t be deleted, but you have the following options to edit them: rename, add icons, reorder, add blacklist/whitelist users:

Create Sub Navigation Menu Entries

To create sub navigation menu entries you first have to consider what is the starting point of your navigation (the name of the entry that should contain sub navigation elements). At first you have to create this entry, then click Manage:

Now you can add sub navigation entries to your menu entry. They can be from type web link or sub navigation. This allows you to create multi-level sub navigations.
