STAGIL Assets browser extension

Overview

With multiple panels and tables, the issue view can sometimes feel somewhat visually overloaded for team members to work with. Thus by configuring a functional Advanced Link Panel default links display becomes obsolete. Our browser extension allows concealing the Jira default link panel from the issue view.

Installation and configuration

Our browser extension is supported by three web browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. You can find it on the respective browser’s extension marketplaces by looking for “STAGIL Atlassian Cloud Browser Extension”. Once installed please make sure the extension is enabled.

When the extension is in place and enabled, an Advanced Issue Panel must be created to replace the default Jira links panel (see our guide here).

Once created go to Advanced Issue Panel’s configuration menu → Data logic → Scope.

To conceal the default ‘Linked issues’ panel under ‘Scope’ select ‘Issues linked to current issue’.

To conceal the default ‘Child issues’ panel for epics under ‘Scope’ select ‘Issues of current epic’.

Tick off the checkbox and click “Save”.

Results in issue view

Once configured and saved extension becomes fully functional and hides the default Jira links panel from the issue view.

Issue view with the extension enabled

Issue view with extension disabled

Please note that this feature is currently available only in the “new” issue view.
