Create And Link Configuration

Create a Create and Link Button

Navigate to the app administration page. Select the Create and Link tab to access the following page. Here you can get an overview of all the Create & Link Buttons across all projects. You can also create a new button from here. Fill in the fields to define the project and issue type context of your button. Give it a name and an optional description, then click Add. Your button will now appear in the list and can be used in the defined context to create linked issues with templates.

To edit the creation template, which will open when users click on your newly created button, please click on “Configure Fields”. The following configuration screen will open:

Copy option

Manual: user has to fill in the data manually.

Copy from original: data will be copied from the current issue

Default: data will be filled in from a default value (has to be set further on the left in “Values”)

Values

If Copy Option is set to “Default”, default values have to be defined here.

Add new fields

Scroll through the “Please Select” field to choose more Field types for your button.
