Installation Guide

SEP sesam Backup for Jira is designed not only for connecting a single Jira instance to a professional backup solution directly but also for handling backup and restore scenarios in a typical multi-tier installation consisting of a development, test and production instance. Installation can be done centralized as well as decentralized on separate servers.

QUICK - Installation

1. Please notice the installation and requirements matrix

2. Download and install SEP sesam Backup for Jira app on each instance

3. Download and install SEP sesam backup client

   1. If Jira and SEP sesam are running on the same system >> client installation is not necessary

   2. Install SEP Sesam backup client on Jira system

   3. Install SEP sesam backup client on each instance if you are using separate servers 

4. Download and install SEP sesam Server on separate (backup) system

5. Configure the backup system (schedule of backup task and backup target configuration)
