Setting Up Jira Connections
STAGIL Tasks for Confluence enables you to create page macros with two scope options: Jira issues or Confluence tasks.
Confluence tasks scope works immediately after installation – no additional setup required
Jira issues scope requires establishing a connection to Jira first
Configuration Overview
If you want to work with Jira issues in your macros, you'll need to complete a simple administrative setup. This only takes a few minutes and allows your team to seamlessly integrate Jira issues into your Confluence pages.
Accessing the Configuration Page
To set up a Jira connection, navigate to the app's configuration page:
Go to Settings → STAGIL Tasks & Jira Issues (in the left sidebar) → Jira Connections
Creating a Jira Connection
To establish a connection between Jira and Confluence:
Select Create Jira Connection
You will be redirected to the Jira authorization page
Select the Jira instance you want to connect to (you can connect multiple Jira instances)
Click Accept to authorize the connection
You will be redirected back to the configuration page, where a dialog will open to complete the setup
Important: All browsing, creation, and editing of Jira issues will be performed based on the permissions of the user who creates this connection.
