Create and Manage navigation items

For the following steps you need to install the STAGIL Atlassian Cloud Browser Extension, which is available for Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

Using Top Navigation

Users can see and work with Top Navigation in two ways:

  1. With https://stagil.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SNJC/pages/2101936138 installed and enabled, custom menu entries are visible in Top Navigation as a part of the panel.

  2. In the Top Navigation bar, under Apps, a new menu entry is created - https://stagil.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SNJC/pages/2126282759. When selected with a click, it opens a pop-up Advanced Navigation panel, displaying all the custom navigation items.

Create Top Navigation items

  1. Go to Manage apps → STAGIL Navigation → Top Navigation → Add navigation item.

  2. Enter the item name and select an icon.

  3. Choose an item type: Web Link, Panel Sub Navigation, Sub Navigation or JQL (see more details about each entry type here).

  4. Set permissions to see the item for certain user groups with Allow list or Block list.

    1. Allow List (required): only user groups selected here have permission to see the item.

    2. Block List: only user groups selected here will not have permission to see the item.

  5. The Link tab behaviour field allows choosing whether users want to open the selected item in a new tab or in the same tab of their browser.

Delete and Reorder Navigation Items

All custom menu items can be deleted by clicking the delete button. System navigation items can not be deleted.

All menu items can be reordered via drag-and-drop, system items included. The first item in the list will be displayed as first item on the left in the top navigation.

Edit Navigation System Menu Items

System menu items can’t be deleted, but you have the following options to edit them: rename, add icons, reorder, add blacklist/whitelist users.
