How to use STAGIL Post Functions
The post functions of STAGIL Project Creator for Jira create an epic or a project based on the input of custom fields in the issue which triggers the post function.
For project creation you need a
text field for the new project key
text field for the new project name
user picker for the new project lead
start date field, if you need to recalculate start and end dates of your issues - optional
STAGIL Project Template field for choosing the template.
For epic creation you need a
text field for the new epic name
text field for the new epic summary
target Project, if you want to address a special project, where the epic should be copied - optional
start date field, if you need to recalculate start and end dates of your issues - optional
STAGIL Epic Template field for choosing the template.
For issue creation you need a
STAGIL Issue Template
STAGIL Issue Template field for choosing the template.
You don't need to give these custom fields a special name, you only need to match your chosen fields with the variable for the post function. Under Jira Administration → Add-ons → STAGIL Projects for Jira → Postfunctions you can select your created fields and match them.
If Target Project is empty, the epic will be copied to the current project where the post function was triggered.
Please ensure that all requirements for creating an epic (including all linked issues and sub-task) are fulfilled. For instance issue types, workflows, field configuration, permissions.
