Issue Fields in Page view: Sync & Display
When a Confluence page is synchronized with a Jira issue, our app offers two ways to view the relevant issue fields:
Issue Fields Pop-Up
After synchronization, you’ll see an Issue Fields button in the page header.
Users can see the synced issue’s fields in a pop-up overlay when click on the button.
By default, field tabs display an issue key (on hover), issue type, priority*, and assignee*.
*displayed only if fields have valuesThe issue key icon is also a hyperlink: click to open the related issue in a new tab.
All other fields are selected during configuration.
Document Field Macro
Users can now embed a single field value right in the body of a Confluence page.
Fields values are rendered via a Document field macro, which can be added exactly where you want that value to appear:
The value is automatically pulled from the synced issue and updated in real-time.
Macro edit mode allows to select multiple Jira fields at a time:
Mark the Show attribute’s label checkbox if you want to display an issue’s field name next to the value
Page Template support for unsynced pages
You can also add Document Attribute macros to Confluence templates before a page is synced.
If the page is not yet linked to a Jira issue, the macro will display only the name of the configured field.
Once the page is synced, values will be populated automatically.
Page Title & Issue Summary
When a Confluence page is synchronized with a Jira issue, the issue’s summary is initially set to match the page title. If you change the page title later, the Jira summary will also update to match.
However, if the summary changes in Jira, the Confluence page title won’t update until the same user who edited the summary in Jira visits or refreshes the page in Confluence.
