In the space navigation you can hide certain navigational elements for defined user groups from the space navigation. Currently it is possible to hide blogs or the complete navigation sidebar. To hide elements, navigate to the space navigation and select space categories or list spaces where you want to hide navigational elements, the menu type you want to hide and finally the user groups for the visibility blacklist:
