For the following steps you need to install the STAGIL Atlassian Cloud Browser Extension, which is available for Chrome, Edge and Firefox.

Using Top Navigation

Users can see and work with Top Navigation in two ways:

  1. With Browser Extension installed and enabled, custom menu entries are visible in Top Navigation as a part of the panel.

  2. In the Top Navigation bar, under Apps, a new menu entry is created - Advanced Navigation. When selected with a click, it opens a pop-up Advanced Navigation panel, displaying all the custom menu entries.

Create Top Navigation entries

  1. Go to Manage apps → STAGIL Navigation → Top Navigation → Add navigation item.

  2. Enter the entry name and select an icon.

  3. Choose the entry type: Web Link, Panel Sub Navigation, Sub Navigation or JQL (see more details about each entry type here).

  4. Set permissions to see the entry for user groups with Allow list or Block list.

    1. Allow List (required): only user groups selected here have permission to see the entry.

    2. Block List: only user groups selected here will not have permission to see the entry.

Delete and Reorder Menu Entries

All custom menu entries can be deleted by clicking the delete button. System menu entries can not be deleted.

All menu entries can be reordered via drag-and-drop, system menu entries included. The first entry in the list will be displayed as first left entry in the top navigation.

Edit Top Navigation System Menu Entries

System menu entries can’t be deleted, but you have the following options to edit them: rename, add icons, reorder, add blacklist/whitelist users:
