The core functionality of the STAGIL Incoming Links revolves around the STAGIL Incoming Links macro. After installing the app, there’s no need for additional configuration - just add the macro to any page where you want to display link information.

You have the flexibility to display either incoming or outgoing links using the same macro. Simply choose the link direction that fits your use case.

Displaying incoming links

Once the macro is added to a page, it will automatically generate a list of links based on your selected configuration:

Adding a macro to the page view

To add the macro to your page:

  1. From the editor toolbar, select the '+' icon.

  2. Find the macro in the list by typing ‘Incoming’.

  1. In the page editor mode, you will see a placeholder with a preview representing the macro. After publishing your page, you can see the macro in its complete form.

(star) Users can also manually add new macro links. See this page for more details.

(star) The page links posted in page comments are also indexed and added to the macro.

Incoming Links in the page header

In page view, the STAGIL Incoming Links macro is enhanced by additional details tab in the page header. The header displays the total number of incoming links on the page. A click on the number will open a pop dialogue with two tabs:

The details tab does not require an additional configuration and will be visible on the page right after the app installation. It is displayed with or without the STAGIL Incoming Links macro added to the page.

(blue star) The page header shows only incoming links. Outgoing links are not included here.
