Step 1 is checked off for the first time, the authorization dialogue is opened. The Jira user email field requires an email of a user with Jira administration permissions. Next, enter an API token associated with the Jira user email and select Enable.

After selecting the checkbox and saving the configuration, a custom field (type = External Assets Platform) will be generated with the same name as the advanced link field. This newly created custom field can be personalized through its settings and made mandatory.

When the ‘Create issue’ dialogue is launched from an asset view, then the link field in the dialogue will be pre-populated with the current asset’s key.

Please note that enabling Advanced Links for several contexts at once or global context requires a few minutes for the field to appear in the Create issue screen.
