Mapping

User for sync

This feature allows using a technical user for all update actions. This means that regardless of the user's role or permission level, the technical user will be responsible for all update actions in the system.

When the connection is working, you should configure the mapping.

Currently, the synchronization is only supported from the database to Jira, except for the issue status, which is being synced from Jira to the database.

Project to sync

Select the Jira project you want the database to be synchronized with.

Table ID

Enter the column name of the database that holds the unique ID of the DB data.

Summary

Enter the column name that will be used as the issue summary in Jira.

Updated Data

This column indicates if the database row has been updated since th last synchronization. The value is copied to a Jira custom field and compared on a text base. If the database value is identical with the Jira custom field the row is not synced.
You might want to add the timestamp of the last db updated to this column.

Issue Type

Select a default value for the creation and optionally configure an issue type mapping.

Status

You can also synchronize the status of the Jira issue to the database. The names of the statuses in Jira and in the DB have to match.

Reporter

Here you can sync the reporter of the issues. If you create a new issue by adding new rows to the database and this field is empty, the project lead will be set as a reporter.

Add the DB column name to synchronize the description of the issue.

Assignee

You can define whether the assignee should be set based on a DB value or set a default assignee of newly created issues.

Priority

Optionally you can synchronize the priorities of the issues. When the priority values of the database are not identical to those in Jira, you can define a mapping.

Security Level

If a security scheme is configured for the project, you must specify the database column and configure the mapping.

Custom Field

In addition to the system fields listed so far, you also have the option of having custom fields synchronized with the database.

Select the field in Jira and enter the name of the database column, confirm with "Add".

Date/ Time Fields

If you want to synchronize date/time fields from the database to Jira, you need to add them below in the given format.
