How to access the Library
The Template Library page is accessible to all Jira users, providing a central location to browse, create, and manage templates.
Click on your user profile icon located in the top right corner of your Jira interface.
Select Issue Templates from the dropdown menu.
Permissions
While every user can access the Template Library page, the visibility of individual templates is controlled by specific permission settings.
Each template’s creator has the flexibility to define its permissions, allowing them to:
Share the template with specific users.
Grant access to a particular group.
Keep the template private for personal use.
For regular users, these permissions determine which templates they can view and use.
Info |
---|
Jira administrators have full visibility into all templates within the library, regardless of individual permission settings. This ensures admins can manage and oversee the entire template library while respecting user-defined permissions for other roles. |
By combining universal access to the Template Library with customizable template permissions, the app ensures both collaboration and privacy where needed.
