User Sync

 

Create User Synchronizer

To create a User Synchronizer go to JIRA Administration→ Manage Add-ons→ STAGIL ASSETS AND CRM and choose the Topic Synchronization.

Choose User Sync and click Manage.

Fill out the following fields:

 

User Account for Synchronization - Choose user for Sync. This user is also shown in Assignee and Reporter field of the created issues.

In Group - Choose user group from which you want to sync users.

To Project - Choose JIRA project for creating user issues.

Issue Type - Choose issue type for creating user issues. Only issue types from selected project are shown.

Email Field - Choose a field from type text to provide user email in user issue. 

Username Field - Choose a field from type User, to provide username in user issue.

Click Import.

Now you have an entry below the section Users Synchronizations. All active synchronizers are listed and you are able to delete them here to stop synchronization.

For every user account in the selected group an issue will be created in the selected project with the selected issue type. 

The summary of the issue is the full name of the user, the other field are set as selected in the synchronizer.

You can have more than one synchronizer to match to different Jira user groups.

Functions of the Synchronizer

If you have an active synchronizer the following actions will be available:

Changing the summary, Email Field or Username Field in user issue.

With the next synchronization the user issue fields will be updated (overwritten) by the user account data.

Deleting an user issue in project.

With the next synchronization the user issue fields will created again.

Changing Full name, Username, Emailadresse in user account.

With the next synchronization the fields will be updated in user issue.

Deleting an user account or set disable.

Actually nothing happens with the user issue.
