Getting started
The core functionality of the STAGIL Incoming Links revolves around the STAGIL Incoming Links macro. After installing the app, there’s no need for additional configuration - just add the macro to any page where you want to display link information.
You have the flexibility to display either incoming or outgoing links using the same macro. Simply choose the link direction that fits your use case.
Displaying incoming links
Once the macro is added to a page, it will automatically generate a list of links based on your selected configuration:
Incoming links: Pages that link to the current page.
Outgoing links: Pages that the current page links out to.
Adding a macro to the page view
To add the macro to your page:
From the editor toolbar, select the '+' icon.
Find the macro in the list by typing ‘Incoming’.
In the page editor mode, you will see a placeholder with a preview representing the macro. After publishing your page, you can see the macro in its complete form.
Users can also manually add new macro links. See this page for more details.
The page links posted in page comments are also indexed and added to the macro.
Incoming Links in the page header
In page view, the STAGIL Incoming Links macro is enhanced by an additional details tab in the page header. The header displays the total number of incoming links on the page. A click on the number will open a pop-up dialogue with two tabs:
Links: lists all the incoming links
Spaces: lists incoming links grouped by space.
Labels: groups existing links under labels.
Link graph : displays both incoming and outgoing links in a network-style diagram.
The details tab does not require an additional configuration and will be visible on the page right after the app installation. It is displayed with or without the STAGIL Incoming Links macro added to the page.
The page header shows only incoming links. Outgoing links are not included here.
