Page link in issue view
To make it easy for users to access Confluence pages from Jira, a custom field can be configured with a link to a synced page.
Jira field configuration
To begin, create a designated custom field in Jira.
‘Short text’ or ‘Paragraph’ custom field types can be used.
Navigate to Jira Project settings and go to Fields. Ensure that your custom field is configured with the Wiki Style Renderer.
Configuration in Confluence
Next, continue to the configuration in Confluence. To configure the Page Link Field, perform the following actions:
Navigate to the project-space synchronizer.
Access the three-dot menu and choose 'Edit'.
See the 'Page Link Field' at the bottom of the dialogue.
Select an existing Jira text field.
As a result you should the text field will be automatically populated with a link to a linked Confluence page.
Link configuration for Timestamped pages
If the Timestamp feature is enabled, two fields must be configured to store links: one for the draft page and another for the released page. Both links should be included in the issue view.
The link to the draft page is set up in the Edit synchronizer dialog, as outlined in the previous chapter.
The link to the published page is configured in the Edit workflow dialog, which can be accessed through the [···] synchronizer Actions menu.
Syncing existing issues to pages
To sync an existing issue to a page that does not already have a synced issue*, you can manually insert a link to the desired page in the link field.
*Only pages that require a manual synchronization trigger and have not yet been activated will be included.
