Cloud Migration (using JCMA)

Please note that tables values in Cloud are not saved in custom fields like on DC. Tables values are stored in issue properties. On issue view the values are managed in our custom table panels. While the user experience is still the same, this limitation can present itself when trying to use the table as custom field, e.g. add to screen.

Migration process

STAGIL Tables and Checklists for Jira migration are carried out via a Jira Cloud Migration Assistant app. Before starting, we advise getting acquainted with the requirements and procedures described in the documentation.

1. Install the required software

The following programs must be installed on Jira Server/Data Center:

  • STAGIL Tables and Checklists for Jira.

  • Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.

2. Create a new Jira migration

  1. In Jira Server or Data Center go to Settings > Manage apps.

  2. Choose Find new apps and search for Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.

  3. Choose Install and you're all set.

Alternatively, you can install it from the Atlassian Marketplace.

To find the migration assistant:

  1. Go to Settings > System.

  2. In the left panel, locate the Import and Export category, and select Migrate to cloud. The Migration Assistant home screen appears.

2. Assessment

Select step 1 - Assess your apps. Find STAGIL Tables in the list of apps and select “Needed in Cloud” status.

These steps are thoroughly described in Jira Cloud Migration Assistant documentation. Please read and complete the steps.

Please note that users who do not exist in Cloud Jira will not be filled in user picker cell. We recommend creating the same users before migrating the project together with all Jira users.
