Jira user authorization
Jira User Authorization for Status Transitions & Field Edits
The Jira User Authorization feature in STAGIL Workflows and Fields allows the app to attribute changes status transition changes & field edits made in Confluence to the acting user, i.e. ensures that the change is logged in Jira's issue history under that user’s name.
If the feature is disabled, or if the Confluence user doesn’t have a Jira account, all changes will be logged as if made by the Authorised user account.
How to Enable:
Navigate to the app’s configuration page.
Open the connection’s [···] menu.
Select Enable/disable Jira user authorization.
Once the authorization is enabled, every user will be required to complete the authorization process at least once. Users who have not been authorized will experience limitations when interacting with app’s UI in page view.
For users with only ‘View issue' permissions, limitations will present themselves in the following way:
Status Button: Disabled with a warning tooltip that directs the user to the authorization page.
Workflows & Fields Button: Disabled with a warning tooltip to open the authorization page.
Inline Fields Editing: Disabled with a tooltip directing the user to authorize.
For users without ‘View issue’ permissions:
The status button is hidden.
An error message will appear in the fields popup.
