How to migrate an 'External Asset platform' field?

The 'External Asset platform' field (now deprecated) was previously used as a proxy for Advanced Link fields on create screens. This was done because due to technical limitations that prevented Advanced Link fields from being added directly to create screens.

We have now introduced a new Forge-based field to address this limitation. If the Advanced Links field is added to the create screen, a Forge custom field (type = Advanced link direction) is generated with the same name as the Advanced Link field.

To migrate existing 'External Asset platform' fields to the new Forge-based fields, follow these steps:

1. Go to Manage Apps.

2. Navigate to the STAGIL Assets app and click Update.

3. Once the app is updated, go to the Advanced Links configuration page;

4. At the top of the page, you will see a banner with massage regarding the deprecation of External Asset Platform and a button to "Migrate $n field(s) to Forge";

5. Click the button to migrate the existing fields to the new Forge-based fields.
